I left a review on the seat pad and Novix left a msg saying thanks for the information etc and give the Textilene a try which I have done already so here is a review on that seat.
I purchased the seat geez a year or so ago and just put it on this year Definitely more room and comfort. Now the mounting is the same as the seat one removes to install the Ears or tabs that the bolt goes through are weak imo. When you tightened the seat the tabs will and do bend I’m afraid if I go any tighter the tabs may break at the welds. So when I’m sitting on the seat and you shift weight it flexes. So the width of the new seat is a little more stress on the mounts. Will it break I don’t know. The seat is quite to use and while moving from up and down position. A bonus is the rain water does drain well from it. Will I buy another? Don’t know at this point $90 dollars is not a cheap upgrade for what you get. It is nice but in my opinion and experience with this seat in needs to be a little more rigid.
For reference I am 6ft athletic build 224 lbs.
Hi Todd, thank you for your detailed feedback. We appreciate your insights on the mounting tabs and, just like the other feedback, we will pass this along to our team. We're glad you find the seat comfortable and functional, and your comments help us improve. If you have any further questions or concerns, please reach out. Thanks for choosing Novix Outdoors!
