I spent several hours researching steps.
Purchased these based on quality, weight and price.
They did not disappoint, very nice product. Just spent 4 days hunting public land in Missouri.
Hung my stand eight times and had no issues using steps. Very light. I mainly used three sticks with 20-inch aider on the bottom stick. I consistently climbed to 15 feet. Had several times removing the strap and the stick remained attached to the tree (impressive). I did use some camo paint to add color (personal preference). Will be purchasing some for my son next year.
They resemble almost exactly the LW sticks
Haven't tried them in the field yet. Tolerance is very tight. Aluminum step material interferes with the stopper and grinds - "break in"? The steps aren't as far off the tree rests as I was expecting. Some more technical drawings or measurements would have been beneficial. The steps aren't as wide as I was expecting either. Brother in law is getting some skeletors and we'll be comparing this fall. The weight is great in these sticks and main reason I bought them. The height is great too. Estimate getting to above 15' no problem.
At this time I have not had a chance to use them, looking at the sticks I can see they are high quality and will do the job I bought them for .
Thanks for your review, Michael! We hope you love them!
Well made !
Thanks, James!
